Insecurity Insight identified 2420 incidents of violence against or obstruction of access to health care in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory between 07 October 2023 and 06 January 2025. In the Gaza Strip, where 1780 incidents were recorded, health facilities were damaged 348 times, at least 616 health workers were killed and 344 arrested. 98% of these incidents were attributed to Israeli forces.

On 19 January 2025, the first day of the Gaza ceasefire, two incidents of violence against or obstruction of access to health care in Gaza were reported: Israeli forces fired on the PRCS-run Al-Quds Hospital and a PRCS ambulance evacuating injured people was struck by Israeli forces, injuring a paramedic (see below for more details). During the 24-30 November 2024 Gaza ceasefire, seven health workers were killed and hospitals damaged three times in incidents attributed to Israeli forces.
