Fellow healthcare workers. There are those that try to censor us, stop us, intimidate us and end our careers.

We know this is nothing compared to the suffering from the genocide and the conditions related to occupation and apartheid, that our colleagues in Palestine have to live through.

Occupation and apartheid is one of, most likely the most, important social determinant of health outcomes.

Israel has an extensive history of attacking the healthcare system in Palestine, because it knows that by targeting the life line of the population it can cause the maximum harm. This is not just about the current genocide, but decades of an illegal apartheid state systemically disabling an indigenous population.

Attacks on any healthcare system are a crime against humanity.

Please show support to Sharyn Lock, a midwife, who is returning to the site of her 5-day fast outside the Scottish Parliament from Sunday the 24th of November when she will again fast for five days in solidarity with those going hungry in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

In Manchester, Holocaust Education Trust youth ambassador Lizzie Greenwood has entered her third week of a 250 calories a day hunger strike. Greenwood has pledged to strike “ . .until the UK government ceases any and all arms sales and exports to Israel, and insists on all aid being allowed – unhindered – into Gaza and the West Bank.” @lizzie4withington

Palantir is currently openly supporting the Israel

Palantir is currently openly supporting the Israeli military and government in their genocide on Gaza. It reports being “proud to support Israel in every way [it] can”. It says it is working with Israel to keep them “armed and ahead”.

In January 2024, Palantir signed a deal with the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) to increase its “advanced technology provision” to Israel in support of war related missions. Palantir’s CEO Alex Karp says he is “exceedingly proud” of Palantir’s involvement in what he calls “operationally crucial operations in Israel”. Palantir recently launched an AIP (Artificial Intelligence Platform), which claims to be able to analyse enemy targets and propose battle plans.

“This is not a small issue. From my perspective it’s not just about Israel,” Karp told CNBC In March 2024. “Do you believe in the West? Do you believe that the West has created a superior way of living? Are you willing to admit you believe that?”

Palantir has been closely involved in the Israeli occupation for years. It has operated its own research and development centre in Israel since 2013. It is also closely linked with Carbyne, with shared investors including Peter Thiel and Palantir employees on the board of advisors. Carbyne is an Israeli tech development firm developed by former Mossad and special Unit 8200 IDF members.

In the UK, Prime Ministers Questions are on Wednesday. Please write to your MP to tell them of the bombing of Kamal Adwan hospital, the targeting of its water supplies and its generator and the killing and targeting of its medical staff. Let’s get Kamal Adwan Hospital and the steadfast Dr Hussam Abu Safiya mentioned in Parliament on Wednesday.

We have all seen the results of the military techn

We have all seen the results of the military technology that Israel uses, on our screens everyday. Never-ending misiles strikes, families buried alive under the rubble, hospitals targeted and blood stained shrouds. Today we have seen quadcopters attacking Kamal Adwan Hospital again.

This technology affects us closer to home than we realise.

These industries profiteering from militarisation, surveillance and slaughter in Gaza are the same ones that are profiteering in our own health services.

Med-tech is a key area of collaboration between the UK and Israel and we want to highlight a key company. Palantir.

Palantir is a US tech company, initially funded by the CIA, which specialises in AI-powered military and surveillance technology and data analytics. Palantir describes its military technologies as offering customers (which include the US military, ICE, the UK Ministry of Defence and the Israeli government) “mission-tested capabilities, forged in the field” to deliver “a tactical edge – by land, air, sea and space”.

Healthcare workers around the world have mobilised for over one year, and are screaming for the end of the targeting of their colleagues in Palestine. We call upon the world to stop Israel’s targeting and destruction of health infrastructure, and to release their medical hostages.

Send this video to those outside our echo chamber who are unaware that this is happening due to the complicity of the mainstream media. Forward this video to someone who does not know that The Kamal Adwan Hospital has been under siege for over 40 days. It has been bombed leading to the death of paediatric patients. Hospital staff and patients were lined up naked, humiliated, and abducted or killed by the IOF. The son of the hospital director, Dr Hussam, was targeted and killed due to Dr Hussam’s refusal to abandon the hospitals patients. @dr.hussam73

This past weekend healthcare workers unified to mark one year since Israel’s annihilation of the Al-Shifa Hospital. The complete siege and destruction of Gazas most important hospital happened under the pre-tense of lies and propaganda. Scenes never before witnessed, as the world looked on and did nothing.

Israel continues to choke the North of Gaza and lays siege to its hospitals.

We highlight the steadfastness of the Palestinian healthcare workers. From the ashes and rubble following Israel’s destruction, they have re-opened part of Al-Shifa Hospital. Kamal Adwan Hospital refuses to abandon its patients. The Palestinian healthcare workers honour our profession.

Global solidarity this weekend to mark one year since the besiegement & annihilation of Al-Shifa Hospital. Scenes never before witnessed by the world. Yet hospitals were allowed to be raided, destroyed and put out of service again and again by the Israelis. The world let it happen and yet the world CONTINUES to let Israel do this.

We use this horrendous anniversary, that also seems to signify the destruction of humanitarian law, to highlight what Israel has done to a whole healthcare system. Additionally we highlight the current hospitals in Israels target such as Kamal-Adwan Hospital and Al-Awda & Al-Aqsa hospitals.

We urge boycott and divestment actions that push for the isolation of Israel and condemn governments that continue to fund or supply its genocide.

We urge action for the world to intervene to help stop the complete ethnic cleansing of the north of Gaza.

He highlights how in the context of Israel having an economic crisis, the need to divest and boycott is as strong as ever. He adds that the continued demonstrations and protests are important for the moral loss that Israel faces from a worldwide perspective.

Most importantly he is optimistic about the future but we need all these important actions for immediate pressure because:

This seems to be his final call for help after he and many other members of staff at the hospital have risked their lives to provide healthcare for their people while the Israelis are ethnically cleansing them.

Today is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness M

Today is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. How many Breast Cancer organisations or charities have spoken out for the women of Gaza who have no access to any cancer treatment?

For more than 12 months now, effectively ALL healthcare facilities in Gaza have been destroyed, leaving patients with Breast Cancer NO access to medical treatment such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, let alone, surgery.

There was already restricted cancer treatment for the people of Palestine prior to this past year. But, the heinous crimes against humanity that have been executed against healthcare workers, and the healthcare system in Palestine in the past year have completely demolished any minimal amount of cancer treatment that was already in place.

The complete lack of outcry expressed by the international and national Associations involved in the treatment of breast cancer is disappointing.

We urge these organisations; namely Breast Surgery International, The European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and the Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS) in the UK, and charities like Beat Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Now, to speak out against these atrocities and demand access to treatment for cancer patients, a functioning healthcare system, an end to the genocide, an end to the occupation and the medical apartheid inflicted by Israel.
